Thanks. Yes it's just every once in a while on a few CD's. It's a very low Hz rumble, not particularly loud, that has nothing to do with the music at that given moment. Can be very irritating. I don't know many people who are really into higher end equipment so I have no way of know if it's my...
I'm not sure how to ask this question. But at times on some CDs, during the playing of a song, my woofer will flutter making a very low Hz sound that has nothing to do with the music. It just occassionaly happens on some CDs. Can anyone suggest what may be causing that?
I'm interested in the anthem as well. Will it let you play music in 5.1 (Neo-6), and movies in 6.1 without having to go into setup each time to change it? I have a rotel and I don't have that flexibility. I either have to have 6 speakers + sub playing with both music and movies or 5 spk + sub...
Is the voltage to my speakers and sub, AC or DC? What is a normal range of voltage with loud music? I have two subs daisy chained. When I turn off one sub it causes the other sub to pop. I put a meter on the sub that I turn off, and when I turn that sub off and I get a 2.5 DC voltage kick sent...
I often play 2 channel stereo CD's using DTS Neo 6. Unless I go into the setup and deactivate the back channel, it plays 6.1, which is what I do not want. I really don't like music coming from the back of my head. I guess I'd like the option of having an automatically deactivated back channel...
I have 2 fronts, 1 center, 2 sides and 1 rear. Actually Rotel calls them front, center, surround and back speakers. The back speaker is want I want with movies but not with music.
I have a Rotel RSP 1068 HT processor and a 6.1 system. I would like to have different configurations for movies and music. For movies I want to use my rear speaker (6.1). For music, I do not want my rear speaker active. I just want 5.1 for music. Can I set up my 1068 this way? If so, how? If...
I use the Neo 6 music mode that's on my Rotel 1068 processor. I only have 5 speaker plus the sub. I don't have a rear speaker. I was wondering what I'm missing out on in terms of music information playing in Neo 6 mode with 5.1 system. Can anyone that knows how Neo 6 works, let me know if it's...
Thanks. Yeah, I was thinking about when I have a crossover set at 100 Hz, I'd like the < 100 Hz to go stereo to L and R subs. I wasn't really thinking in terms of 5.2 or 2.2. Again, thanks for the response.
Are there processors that can put out stereo sub signals? My Rotel 1068 has a sub1 and sub2 output and all it is, is just a spliter. Same signal goes to both subs.
Does anyone make a universal DVD player that allows separate crossover points for each set of speakers, e.g. fronts, sides, etc? My Denon 3910 DVD player only lets me select a crossover point for all speakers at once. Thanks, Stan
Would someone who is familiar with Anthem processors comment on the difference between the AVM 20 vs AVM 30. Is it anything other that the number or devices or zones one can run?
I know this is a shot in the dark but here goes. I had a Denon 5803 amp and a Denon 3910 DVD player. With this set up my sub had no buzz. I decided to go to separates. Now I have a Rotel 1090 amp, and a Rotel 1068 processor, with same Denon DVD player and same sub. Now I get a buzz in my sub...
I have a Rotel 1068 processor. I have set my crossover points of my speakers to 80 Hz. The processor also allows the setting of a crossover point of the subwoofer. What should I set it as? Or should I not have a crossover point for the sub. Thanks for any advise and explanation of why I'm asked...
I have the 5803 with the lastest updates. I've really enjoyed it but I'm moving to separates, so I'm thinking about selling the denon. It's in mint condition. Let me know if you're interested.
The reason I was asking was that my Rotel 1090 amp has rca unbalanced and xlr balanced inputs. I have a rotel 1068 processor and currently have rca unbalanced cables. I didn't know if switching is worth the expense.
I see a distinction between "Balanced XLR" interconnects and "Unbalanced RCA" interconnects. Would someone place explain the difference. Is one always better than the other?
I have a rotel 1090 and a denon 5803. I use the 1090 to drive my two mains. I have very loud hum and I mean loud when I touch the interconnect from the denon to the 1090. Here's the thing I don't understand. When I unplug everything from the outlets (except the 1090) and also disconnect the...
I have a Sony DVP-NS999ES and Denon 5803 amp. The Sony manual says if my amp has 5.1 channel inputs the hook up the 5.1 posts on the back of the Sony the inputs on the amp. The Denon has the inputs, so I've got the interconnects run. The Sony manual also says if I want to use the Dolby Digital...
I'm using a Rotel RB 1090 stereo amp for my mains. It puts 380 Watts p/c at 8 ohms. I'm looking for a monoblock amp to power my center channel at about 400 W p/c at 8 ohms. Any suggestions?
I'm checking out the Thiel SS1 subs. Has anyone looked at these yet? The SS1 has a 500W amp and one 10" driver. The SS2 has two 10" drivers and 1000W amp. The SS2 is $2000 more than the SS1. Is the extra $ worth it for the SS2? I'm setting up a system in a 15 x 20 room.
