Hey Zen how are you dude? We missed you around here. Any updates on that event you were telling us about last time? :)
Looking forward to your Blade Runner Final Cut review. I can wait for the dvd. I saw Blade Runner at the cinema when some of you droogs were still reading comics... um make that 'first started' reading comics. :P

Funny, when i saw it back in 82 on release day, i hated it. It soon became my favorite movie. I wont tell you how many times, and different formats i have owned it on. Bet ive seen it over 50 times in the last 25 years.

I read the comic for blade runner :P
Actually, I've seen at least twice, and thought it boring. I figure one of the 32 version in that toy box set should win me over since it's such a popular classic. XD
Speaking of sci-fi, I just acquired a new one! "Nude On The Moon"! A rocket ship goes to the moon, and discovers a nudist colony!

Fine set of antennae on those moon woman! XD

Nude on the Moon?! Never heard of it. Looks like a late fifties porno flick. Color is a plus. I assume its got a soundtrack, but is it an english one? Probably stole some music from other 50s movies. I bet your the only one i know who owns this "gem" Russell! Was it widescreen? Did you like it :)
Off today, gonna run to BB to get Transformers. I think i will hold off buying Planet Terror as i know it will be in the 5 dollar bin soon enough. But i do have it up for a rental. Just added the Paul Lynde Halloween Special as well, for a rental. KISS and Witchiepoo on the same show with Paul Lynde! I have a vague memory that i saw this back in 76. I loved Sid and Marty Kroft stuff.

it's from 1961, when the only nudity you could show was in a documentary. So to spice up the genre, they made a nudist colony on the moon picture. I haven't watched it yet, I'll keep you posted to see if we can finally knock "2001 : A Space Odyssey" out of that top Sci fi slot. The DVD is in colour, with sound! and in it's original 4:3 aspect ratio. I think this was shot 16mm. There's also a bonus short on it. "Something Weird Video" really pull out all the stops.

The Hawaii International Film Festival starts next week. I've let my membership lapse this year, and only plan to attend a couple of films -- "Eye in the Sky" (Hong Kong) and "Never Forever" (South Korea/US starring Vera Farmiga). While there is a showing of my favorite Jonathan Rhys Meyers' "August Rush", I will probably wait for the regular engagement in November rather than deal with the madhouse. (Choice evening showings are packed, and I've had to sit in the 2nd row before.)

Whoa! Nude on the Moon? Isn't it a little cold and airless on the moon. But the weaker gravity would result in more bounce I suppose. Who was the science advisor on the picture? Hugh Hefner? :P
Twilight Zone the Movie is on it's way, woohoo, looking forward to seeing it again hopefully it's been remastered. I saw it at the cinema when it first came out in 83, loved the Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack. My favorite segment was the last one, Nightmare at 20,000 ft, directed by Mad Max director George Miller and starring John Lithgow as the terrified passenger who sees a creature on the wing of the plane...
William Shatner played the part in the original classic tv episode.

[rolls into frame] I don't remember seeing that in Dr Who, Russwell! The last time I watched the show it was in black & white and everyone wore clothing... so old-fashioned! :P

I think that this episode happened between the Sylvester McCoy and that other dude. It's like, "Dr. Who: the missing years when the Daleks got hooked on lesbians".
I'll try to watch it and Nude on the Moon this weekend and let you guys all know how it goes. It can't be worse then Mission to Mars can it? Or was it red planet... I get them mixed up XD

Rented "Nude on the Moon" awhile back from Netflix. Turned it off after 25-30 minutes. Just awful. Good lord I love my boobs, but JHC if I had watched another minute more it would have been ice pick time for the eye balls.

Joe has boobs??? :P
sorry, I couldn't resist. Pretty near all the nudies of this period are damned boring. I watched a Striper-rama film from the 50's with Bettie Page in it, and it was just the most dreadful and uninspired thing. It had a commentary on it, and they were talking about how boring it was. :P
