I was at work when my new Klipsch KSW-12 sub came in the mail today, so you can imagine my excitement when i got home! However, I have a (somewhat) stupid question about hooking it up to my Sony DD/DTS reciever.

The reciever has a single sub-out RCA jack, however, the actual sub has two RCA "Line In" ports labled "R and L/LFE" respectively next to each other. Should I just use a single mono RCA cable to connect it to my reciever, or should I go with a "Y" split cable?

Thanks in advance!

In general, I will have to say start by using the Y. The sub will sum the input signal anyway, but you should see a gain in input voltage with the Y. Note that either way, once calibrated, there will essentially be no difference in the end result. If you don't have a splitter, use the L/LFE.
