BURBANK, CA (January 8, 2024) – Higher. Further. Faster. Together! Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and Ms. Marvel assemble in this epic action-packed cosmic adventure. With the help of Nick Fury (and Carol’s pet Flerken, Goose!), they must band together to take on the powerful Dar-Benn, new leader of the Kree.

Film Synopsis
Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole, her powers are entangled with super-fan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s estranged niece, astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, this unlikely trio must team up and work together to save the universe.

That to me is the most interesting part of this announcement. Lionsgate is also sending The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes steelbook to Walmart on the same day, so it looks like they might be picking up Best Buy's slack for multiple studios.

I know you're joking, but I find it interesting you frame your question in that way. The trailer that Ron posted with the press release seems to focus more on Carol and slightly less on the others. Obviously, Monica and Kamala are still in it. Also, to be fair, this ad is only a minute long, so it doesn't have a lot of room. But they seem to be trying to put Carol more in the center. The theatrical marketing sold it as a team-up movie, which it is. This ad makes it seems like the marketing team realized too late that potential viewers who don't subscribe to Disney+ won't recognize Kamala or Monica (as an adult.)

Of course, even if the home release marketing does center more on Carol, the movie is still terrible. So I don't know how much difference that will make. But I thought that was interesting.

The Wal*Mart SuperCenters have a whole rack devoted to "Exclusive SteelBooks" for older and newer titles.
