Yamaha RX-V2400 vs. Denon AVR 3805 (1 Viewer)

does anybody have any other amp they enjoy? with no local presence from Adcom, and not being a fan of purchasing electronic equipment online, I would rather purchase another amp from a local electronics shop, but not to sure on what brands to turn to... Help?

Not sure what your budget is but check out Rotel and B&K.

I listened to a pair of RTi10 today powered by a HKAVR630. I found that at half the price of the RTi10, a pair of JBL that sat next to the RTi sounded better in terms of tighter bass and fuller mid range. The RTi sounded thin and lack of bass. I think my little RTi38 at home does a much better job. I have to suspect that the 630 is simply not powerful enough to do the RTi10 justice. Brent, I don't think your Yamaha is any more powerful than the AVR630, so I think you definitely will get better sound from your RTi10 once you get your separate power amplifier.
