Would a 2-channel amp help boost my 5.1 HT? (1 Viewer)

I was just wondering recently about amplifiers as a way to beef up my HT and allow me to get more volume and prevent my receiver from clipping. My setup is:

-Denon AVR 1705 6.1 receiver (75w/ch)
-JBL E80 (for L/R fronts)
-JBL EC35 Center
-JBL E10 (2 for surrounds)
-SVS PB10 subwoofer

**I don't have a lot to spend for an amp. Do you think a 2-channel amp in the $200 range would allow me to play at a higher volume w/o my receiver clipping? Thanks!

Stephen,

are you near a Circuit City? I've heard Circuit City have a money back guarantee for 30 days - maybe you can try out a Panasonic XR55, 100W per channel and sounds like a $1K receiver
