Hello - My 10 year old Pioneer VSX-822K surround sound receiver has recently been flashing a "TEMP" message, and shutting off when I have the volume above 60. It never used to do that. There is plenty of space around it for air circulation. Seems to happen when streaming movies at 60+ volume, but not when streaming Pandora at 40-45 volume. Any ideas? Is the unit going bad?

It does sound like it's overheating. My first suggestion with an older receiver is to disconnect it from everything, let it sit a few hours, then take the top off and blow out any dust that's accumulated inside. Blow it out. Do NOT vacuum it.

Good idea, let me try that. Thanks
