why dont cartoons look good on my hdtv? (1 Viewer)

Sup peeps...

ok this is hard for me to explane but when watching cartoons on my hdtv.... i get some strange color effects... like some color wash... say there is a seen where there are some clouds in a blue sky and it cuts to a drak seen.... you can still see the clouds like some kind of screen burn-in. or in some moveing seens there will be an after image effect. is there anyway to get rid of this problem? it dont do it woth all cartoons but most. is there a problem with the tv? I appreciate any help i can get.

What type of TV do you have and what is the source of the cartoons? (DVD, cable, local channels, etc.)

the type of tv i have is a 52" rptv and i get this problem from cable mostly but i do get some from dvd's.....
