Who rubbed off part of the Godfather case getting the sticky stuff off? (1 Viewer)

See my post in the Software forum for more details. The Reader's Digest version is that in attempting to get that awful glue off of the case I ended up rubbing off part of the case itself, so now there are a few white specks where the adhesive once was. This is a small area and it's not technically annoying, but it annoys me. Please tell me I'm not the only one who was this stupid.

I managed to get all the glue off okay and the case looks fine, but man what a pain in the ***! Did they really have to glue it there? It would have worked just fine as an insert inside the shrink wrap, or maybe glued to the OUTSIDE of the shrink wrap, but no...
