I have been looking for a good price on the Panasonic RP91 DVD player and there are virtually none in stock. Is this unit extinct already? This lull in stocked product usually means something new is about to come forth. Any news?

www.jandr.com sold me mine about 3 weeks ago. i got them to pricematch $419 at etronics.com...good luck trying to do the same!

They're probably getting the 236 firmware updates. I too brought mine recently from jandr.com. I would imagine because they price match, those things sold like hotcakes.

Mine's on back order from J&R right now. When I ordered last Saturday, the salesman said there were six others back-ordered also. Their standard answer is 7 to 10 days to ship, but I don't think they really know.
