There is a Hi-res Multichannel of Bela Fleck, I have it. its the Bluegrass Sessions, and I must say, is one of the best DVD-A's I have.

HiRes multichannel - not interested in HiRes stereo:

U2 - Achtung Baby
Sheryl Crow - Globe Sessions
Eurythmics/Annie Lennox - everything

Also

Duran Duran - Rio
The Replacements - Pleased to Meet Me
Pete Townshend - ATBCHChinese Eyes

Also

Sam Phillips (produced by T Bone Burnett) - everything

There's some older stuff I'd want too but I left it off because I don't imagine that the multitrack tapes exist anymore (Adam Ant, Thomas Dolby, The Smiths).

Rachel, do you have a copy that plays ok, I had read there was a flaw in the first pressing but havent heard if that has been fixed. I have been anxiously awaiting it. But I think some of the newer albums may perfom slightly better due to recording technology, IMO, even though some of the older stuff is arguably better.

Thanks

I'd take many of those already listed, espceially: Abbey Road, Low, And Then There Were Three(very underated), 2112, Close To The Edge, Crime of the Century, Secret Treaties, Eldorado (Wow...this one would be cool)! All GREAT choices.

I'd also love..

Catherine Wheel - Adam & Eve ...if there are any Wish You Were Here/Animals era Floyd fans who have not heard this one...DO SO IMMEDIATELY!! Really.

speaking of Floyd..
Pink Floyd - Animals

Al Stewart - Year of the Cat

God, there's so much stuff that I would buy in HiRez that it scares me to think about it!! :)

Aric, I ordered the Depeche Mode about a month ago and got it about two weeks ago. I have no idea how long it's been out, exactly. It's dated 2003. I just tripped over it looking for something else and decided to grab it too. Both discs play fine and there's plenty of older stuff like STRANGELOVE for instance. It's called "101". It's a hybrid and has a M/C track which I have not listened to yet. It sounds fine to me in stereo.

Guys, it's funny....so many folks advocate that they want more new music on hi-rez but the majority of requests, so far, are for older music.

Close To The Edge, Yes; A Trick Of The Tail, Genesis; Eye In The Sky, Alan Parsons Project. All in agressive 5.1 like Steve Miller Band's "Fly Like An Eagle" DTS disc. Gene

1. Santana ("3")

2. The Beatles ("White Album")

3. Too hard to choose, Close to the Edge has been noted, maybe Todd Rundgren-Something/Anything?

I'm with you, ScottChi - Hendrix, and in MC. The way Hendrix played with phasing and stereo panning he would have embraced multichannel for sure.
