These are up for grabs on EBay OZ , anybody care to voice an opinion as to what they possibly were designed for, or as to how they would perform in a home theatre setup?
They certainly look like they won't be shy in the bass department.

Parts Express sells the tweeters fro under $1 each and they sound terrible for hi-fi (though they can add some real high-end spearkle to PA speakers with cheap compression tweeters that might not extend all the way to 20kHz. The tweeters are also mounted in such a way that they would cause a lot of comb filtering. Unless you need an organ speaker, these are not for you.

They look home-made to me. Not much thought in the operative design.

They look to have been made before speaker design became a science like it is today. You do not want these for hi-fi. The woofers are afr too big to integrate with the tweeters without extreme distortion.
