I could go on and on, but will limit myself to my top
picks. Releases should be anamorphic widescreen, wherever possible and technically appropriate, and include any available deleted scenes:
[Movies arranged alphabetically, NOT by order of preference.]
"The Company of Wolves" (Cannon/Palace, 1984)
"Countess Dracula" (Fox/Hammer, 1970)
"Curse of the Werewolf" (Universal/Hammer,1961)
"The Damned" ("La caduta degli dei" (Warner Bros., 1969)
"Deathdream" (a.k.a. "Nightwalk")
(1973)
"Demon Seed" (MGM/UA, 1978)
"Exorcist II: The Heretic" (Warner Bros., 1977) (director's cut; John Boorman tell us, pray: What were you thinking???)
"The Fog" (Embassy, 1980) [in prep. from MGM?]
"God Told Me To" (New World, 1977) [dvd rightsholder??? Elite???]
"The Haunting" (MGM, 1962) [Warner HV?]
"Honky" (1971)
"I Was a Teenage Frankenstein" (AIP, 1958)[MGM/UA HV?]
"I Was a Teenage Werewolf" (AIP, 1957) [MGM/UA HV?]
"The Keep" (Paramount, 1983) [director's cut! on the 2003(!) schedule, according to M. Blythe]
"The Legacy" (Universal, 1979)
"Legend" (Universal, 1984) [ahem!!!]
"Mary, Queen of Scots" (Universal, 1971)
"The Masque of the Red Death" (AIP, 1964) [in prep. from MGM HV for 2002?]
"Monster on Campus" (Universal, 1958)
"The Neanderthal Man" (UA, 1953)
"Near Dark" (HBO, 1987) [Anchor Bay rel. 2002?]
"Queen of Blood" (a.k.a., "Planet of Blood" (AIP, 1966) [MGM/UA HV?]
"Scarecrows" (1988; Paramount HV(???))
"The Sender" (Paramount, 1982)
"Silver Bullet" (Paramount, 1985)
"Terror from the Year 5000" (AIP, 1959)[MGM?]
"The Thing from Another World" (RKO, 1950)
"The Undying Monster" (a.k.a.,The Hammond Mystery" (Fox, 1942)
"The Vampire" (a.k.a., "Mark of the Vampire" (Gramercy/UA, 1957)
"The Werewolf" (Columbia, 1956)
"Wolfen" (Warner, 1981)
tv:
[More or less, by order of preference.]
"Way Out" (CBS/Paramount HomeVideo???) [14-episode collector's edition boxed set]
"The Norliss Tapes" (NBC/Dan Curtis 1973 pilot)
"Babylon 5" (Warner HV)
"Crusade" (Warner HV) (spin-off of the preceding)
"Action!" (Jay Mohr tv ser., Columbia/TriStar, 2000)
"Futurama" (animation)(Fox)
"The Critic" (animation) (Columbia/Tri-Star)
"The Outer Limits" (MGM/UA; "BEST OF" the original 1963-'64 series)
"The [new] Twilight Zone" (MGM/UA HV? the "BEST OF" the 1980s "revival")
"Ghost Stories" (1997-'98 New Dominion Picts. syndicated tv series)
(Here I'll leave out such obvious desiderata as "ST:NG" and "ST: DS9", 'cause they're on the way (eventually) anyway, or "Seinfeld", which, with the new billion-dollar tv syndication deal, we can probably forget for YEARS to come.

Top Secret and Orgazmo are already announced (Thanks!) but the two I'd really like to see are:
Wind (Modine/Grey) - already out in Europe
Baseketball: Ultimate Edition; really would benefit from a commentary, as Trey/Matt/Zucker are always great with the commentaries.

There are so many already, but I'll add the ones I'd purchase.

Pretty in Pink

For Keeps

Some Kind of Wonderful

Better Off Dead

One Crazy Summer

Say Anything

Star Wars SE

Empire Strikes Back SE

Return of the Jedi SE

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Indiana Jones and the Lost Crusade

The Entire Library of un-released Star Trek Episodes (TNG, TAS, DS9, VOY, and ENT)

Soprano's Season 3

Sex in the City Season 3

Stargate SG-1 Seasons, in box sets.

Babylon 5 Seasons, in box sets.

Of course all must be OAR, Anamorphic. With Babylon 5 and ST: ENT they are widescreened, so I expect them OAR/Anamorphic.

I do not buy Pan & Scan titles. As you can see by my collection I have 400+ DVDs and counting. I've had my DVD player since 1996 (well, I'm on my second one)

That's all I can think of, I'm sure there are others. Basically any 80s teen-angst movie like Pretty in Pink or Some Kind of Wonderful that I can't remember would be a good addition.

The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (Fox)

Heavenly Creatures (Miramax)

Real Genius (Columbia/TriStar)

Fanny and Alexander (MGM)

Au Revoir Les Enfants (formerly Orion, I believe this to be owned by MGM now)

Auntie Mame (Warner)

Citizen Ruth (Miramax)

A Night at the Opera (and other Marx Bros. films, MGM)

Hocus Pocus (Disney)

Home Alone and Home Alone 2 (special editions, Fox)

Young Man With a Horn (Warner)

Schindler's List (Universal)

Bringing Up Baby (Warner)

The Witches (widescreen, Warner)

ANY Ingmar Bergman films (most are owned either by Criterion or MGM)

I'd also like to see Columbia/TriStar do widescreen rereleases of their family films (like My Girl) or SEs of current bare-bones releases as they have in the past (like The People vs. Larry Flynt)

Once Upon a Time in the West (Paramount?)

The Quiet Earth (Fox?, or possibly Anchor Bay)

Always, with a decent transfer and soundtrack that isn't screwed up. (Universal)

Miller's Crossing (Fox) What's the deal? You keep announcing this and bumping it back, now it has vanished.

Just about any movie I could possibly want has been mentioned already, except for....

The Gods Must Be Crazy (parts 1 and 2)

I'd also like to see some Dire Straits videos on DVD, either their music video collection, or their concerts.

King Kong ('33)

Vertigo (anamorphic)

Psycho (anamorphic)

To Catch a Thief

Dial M for Murder (3D!)

South Park series discs (NOT themed)

Roman Holiday

Two for the Road

I don't really care about SE's - just give me the OAR, original sound, and a beautiful transfer (anamorphic when appropriate).

My first posting at HTF so here goes - titles I'd love to see;

The Cagney/Bogart classic The Roaring Twenties

Gunga Din with Cary Grant. One of the best action adventure movies I have ever seen.

I Married A Witch with Veronica Lake & Frederic March

SF/Horror classics from the 1950's especially It Came From Outer Space, Them & Night Of The Demon aka Curse Of The Demon. A new remaster of This Island Earth would be very nice as well.

From the 60s - Where Eagles Dare & The Forbin Project

From the 70s: Slither with James Caan & Hearts Of The West (aka Hollywood Cowboy) with Jeff Bridges. Charming, easy going movies both.As isBilly Wilders Avanti! with Jack Lemmon & Hayley Mills.

On the TV front I would dearly love to see a season boxset(s) of The Rockford Files, & the first couple of seasons of Starsky & Hutch & The Six Million Dollar Man. Hmm, come to think of it how about the original b/w The Outer Limits as well? On the subject of TV movies I'd like to see a clever little thriller that starred Hal Holbrook & Katherine Ross called something like Murder By Natural Causes. I remember catching it on TV roundabout 1981. A good story.

From the 90s there is a splendid flick starring Paul Newman called Nobody's Fool. Well worth a DVD release!
