The Empire Strikes Back, especially the 'Empire' passage (too lazy to look to see it's really called.

I remember the very first time I heard it (I was nine).

Conan the Barbarian (which fit perfectly in the Gladiator teaser trailer)
Forbidden Planet (a very early electronic score that really grew on me - in a good way - after I stumbled across the CD in a used record store)
Capricorn One (one of Jerry Goldsmith's best themes that really is too good for this particular movie)
Once Upon a Time in the West (particularly the "Man with a Harmonica" track)
Ben Hur (great soundtrack)
Wendy Carlos' Clockwork Orange (great Moog versions of some classical pieces)
Thunderball (John Barry's score is the best of all the Bond flicks)

How can this thread be 12 posts long and nobody mention "The Natural"?

I am also very fond of "St. Elmo's Fire".

"Halloween" has unforgettable theme music as does "Escape From New York"...both John Carpenter classics.

Terminator 2- although to really appreciate it I need to see the chrome skull emerging from the flames... very powerful.

Probably my two favourites are the On Golden Pond theme by Dave Grusin and the theme from What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
