To revive this great thread from the dead and see if Steve O is out there somewhere. I really enjoy your review/comments about foreign movies, Steve O. Why quit? Where are you? Would like to hear about your recent viewing. Meanwhile here are my very highly recommended the foreign movies:

The last non-English movie I saw was City of God (Cidade de Deus), and it simply blew me away.
Can't wait for a dvd release to check if it will have the same inpact the second time. :)

Have to agree with you here... City of God was an incredible film.
My 2nd best film of 2002.
It's frustrating that no DVD announcement has been made yet (as my signature indicates), and the film was released in theatres in January.

I don't feel like reviewing the whole thread to see if it has been mentioned, but the Criterion " The Adventures of Antoine Doinel" box is a must have.
The 400 Blows is definitely NOT the only great film in this set.
