I'd really like to see Billy Wilder's 'Fedora' released on DVD. I assume Warners still have the rights to it, as they released it on laserdisc - but if anyone knows otherwise, it would be good to know from whom I should be requesting this title.

'Reflections In A Golden Eye', 'Point Blank' and 'Lust For Life' would also be very welcome DVD releases.

I'm throwing my hat into the ring for the following:

1.Capt. Horatio Hornblower
2.Flame and the Arrow, The
3.Sacketts, The
4.Skin Game
5.There Was a Crooked Man

I elected not to list Errol Flynn titles hoping that my choices will be among this yrs. releases.

In addition, the following MGM titles:

1.Beau Brummell
2.Ice Station Zebra
3.Mutiny on the Bounty (Brando)
4.Prisoner of Zenda, The (Granger)
5.Young Bess

- The Kubrick Doc - A Life in Pictures
- Why not the Directors cut of Wyatt Earp?
- Night Moves (with Gene Hackman)
- Widescreen Bridges of Madison County
- A re-master/SE of Outland, the worst looking DVD out there by a major studio, IMO.

I hope Warner Bros. is reading this thread, and if so, thanks for the chat, it was great.

I would have inquired about:

Point Blank (John Boorman)
Having a Wild Weekend (John Boorman)
Zabriskie Point
The Man Who Would Be King reissue (non flipper, new transfer)

Fortunately O Lucky Man, the Hunger and a few others were brought up and are coming, so few complaints from this camp.

I would be interested in knowing if Warner has any plans to issue an unedited version of Eyes Wide Shut in Region 1, and if the Kubrick documentary will receive a release outside of the box set.

The sequal to 2001. While not as good a film as 2001, it was a fantastic science fiction film in it's own right, intelligent and believable. I would have really enjoyed asking about this title, but alas, I could not.

Malcolm X . . .

. . . Spike Lee has said that wants to do it and I think he's got a great idea . . . I can't think of a better candidate.

Does anyone know if the Errol Flynn deluxe collection mentioned in the latest chat with Warner will include any films previously unavalable on dvd?

I would love to get the original 1969 directors cut of Cammell and Roegs Performance. This version was rejected by the execs and was just over 120 minutes.

Ice station zebra is another.

This is a public domain title. Marengo has released it as a double feature with Cyrano De Bergerac. Both prints are excellent for public domain titles.

Here's an obscure one: OUR MOTHER'S HOUSE, with Alan Bates and a pre-OLIVER! Mark Lester, directed by Jack (THE INNOCENTS, SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES, GREAT GATSBY) Clayton. Good thriller, shown only once in a blue moon on TCM, very underappreciated.

Dick - just as a point of accuracy, 'Our Mother's House' starred Dirk Bogarde, not Alan Bates. I agree it was an interesting film, but it seems to have vanished, at least here in the UK. I recall seeing it at a repertory cinema in Oxford during my university days in the late 60's - that must have been a year or two after its (almost unnoticed) first run. I can't recall any showings on UK television, and I'm pretty sure it's never been released on any home video format here.
