Surprised no one has started a new Season 7 thread yet given all the hype buildup. It starts in just a few days so I thought it would be fun to post our last thoughts on who was killed with any new details we may know now.

I am at least 95% certain that I have it figured out and there is a BIG clue as to who that person is in the season premiere trailer. The give away is stated very clearly if you listen closely to what Neegan says to Rick.

None other than fan favorite Darryl Dixon. We knew it was going to be a game changer for Rick and really hit him hard. If you play back the Season 7 trailer listen carefully to the part where his talking about it being like your right arm. Then Neegan says, "ooh, did I just kill that person"

I've been saying it since before the finale but I think that
Abraham is the victim. Admittedly, I'm making that guess based off of process of elimination. It's not Rick or Carl because Negan tells his men that if anyone moves they should cut the kid's other eye out and feed it to his father so, beyond that they wouldn't kill them off anyway, it's definitely not them. Daryl and Michonne are too popular to kill and after how berserk people went over the season finale, they aren't looking to piss people off that much. They fake killed Glenn last season so it seems pointless to kill him now (though he's my second choice). Maggie is pregnant and the show isn't sick enough to kill a pregnant lady. No one will particularly care if Sasha, Eugene, Rosita and Aaron die so that leaves Abraham as the odd man out.

Now that I've laid all that out, I'm sure it'll be wrong. :)

EDIT: I was completely guessing but since everyone else used spoiler tags, I edited my post.

I believe that the Neegan may have been watching Rick and company for quite a while. I'm sure he has scouted all of the relationships and is very current on who means what to whom. My guess would be
Michonne, especially now that they have gotten intimate.

Not sure if my thinking is off, I guess we'll know Sunday night.

I'll go with....

Glenn - a) That is how the source material handles it, which I realize means very little considering how much the show deviates from the original storyline. b) It would kind of be a do-over for the awful head fake from last season involving his fake death.

Abraham would be my second guess since he is (at least in my opinion) a second tier character and his death would not shake up the show quite as much as the death of a season one cast member. I've also read speculation that Negan kills both Glenn and Abraham but that might be a stretch.

As Doug noted, we'll see on Sunday evening.

- Walter.

Funny...four different opinions in four posts. Jeffery_H, not sure how you came to that conclusion based on that clip they released. I am more inclined to agree with Doug based on that clip.

Neegan is talking to Rick and says:

"Simon is my right hand man. Having one of those is important. I mean what do you have left without them? A whole lot of work. Do you have one? Maybe one of these fine people still breathing? Ooooh....or did I......(Neegan waves his bloody bat)."

So there you have it, laid out plain as day. There's only one TRUE right hand man to Rick and they have said so much at various times in the past several seasons. They said it would be a serious blow to Rick and a main character. But this should come as no surprise since he wants to do movies and has had some guest roles in a couple already. Surprised no one has picked up on this. But there's a small chance we are all wrong since no one knows for fact yet.

Regarding that dialogue, it's worth noting that Negan most likely hasn't seen
Daryl and Michonne with Rick because the Saviors captured them (along with Glenn and Rosita) before Rick's group set out for the Hilltop. Out of the people in the RV, Abraham would probably be assumed to be Rick's right hand man due to his physical stature and giant gun.

Only a prediction, not a a true spoiler. I hope this works, having issues getting spoilers to cooperate.
Wow, not only not cooperating, disappearing.

Anyhow, not a spoiler, a guess. "I'm guessing Aaron. To soon to do another major character. I've always liked him, but he's expendable. :("

At the end of the 2 minute clip from the next episode, the camera pans down to the blood etc. from who received the beating death. Before you get to the blood you see a blanket lying on the ground. Only one person had a blanket around them in the lineup...just saying.

Good observation. I guess the only explanation around that would be if said blanket holder tossed it in despair as they watched the other person being beaten. The blanket didn't appear to have blood on it but it's hard to tell.

Another thing, what is the over/under on number of minutes into the episode where it is finally revealed who it is? I'm thinking they milk it at least for a little bit.

Do NOT click the spoiler below unless you WANT to know who dies. The script has been leaked today and I couldn't wait any longer. One thing I can say that's not a spoiler is to keep in mind they have already said there are two victims of Neagan, not just one. We will see the first death pick up where season 6 ended and the other will come later as a result of something that happens but I won't post that.

The first victim is Abraham. You see him look at Neagan and he looks tough in the season 6 finale. So, Neagan thinks that's Rick's "right hand man" so he takes him out to make the point we see him talking about in the trailer. Then, about 20 minutes or so into the show he also kills Glenn, just because Darryl does something that he thinks challenges him. So he wants to break their will and have them feel totally helpless and at his mercy if any want to survive.

I don't know what to believe anymore. They've done a good job of leaking out every possible scenario.

I'll be kind to the folks on the west coast or DVRing and not reveal anything but after the first 20 minutes of needlessly stringing the audience along, it was a hell of an episode and one moment was flat out shocking.

Good call.

I'll take a cue from Travis and spoiler my post for those who haven't gotten through the episode.

I don't think I've ever seen anything approaching that level of graphic violence on a basic cable channel. Kind of felt like watching torture porn. I didn't need to see the skin hanging from Lucille. Jesus.

In a more mundane vein - Nice attention to detail having one of Negan's minions snapping the polaroid in the background - which tied back into the pictures we saw last season. I haven't read the graphic novels, but I'm guessing the 'vampire bat' joke was in the novels. Felt like it anyway.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was a frickin' madman in tonight's episode. Just a complete psychopath. And I mean that in a good way.

^ Yeah, the vampire bat joke is directly from the comic book. And so is the shot where
Glenn's eyeball is coming out and he's reaching out.
Somehow that was even more disturbing in the comics than it was in live action.
