Hello forum,

Odd question, here... I am looking to run my laptop into my plasma TV. Can I use s-video to do this or do I opt for a serial connection? Do I suffer picture potential by using s-video?
If possible, I want the laptop's video signal sent to my plasma, via my AVR.
If I can do this, I will use a wireless keyboard and mouse and place the laptop in my component rack. The idea is to never leave the couch.

Please pass on an expert opinion.

Thanks

Going out of the VGA output is probably a better option, especially if you use the native rate for the plasma. S-video works as well, but the quality cannot match the VGA. DVI is ideal if you have it, but very few laptops do.
