Can someone tell me why the hell castle freak is only available on dvd in the r-rated version when it's available unrated on vhs?I was going to buy the dvd but decided against it when i realized it was r-rated.Why on earth would they do such a stupid thing?

I know, it sucks. Same thing with Return of the Living Dead part 3 and some others too. Your guess is as good as mine on why studios would feel the need to do that.

Although I've not watched it yet, the packaging claims that the DVD runs 95 minutes, which is the running time of the unrated version, even though it also has the R rating logo. One of those two pieces of information is wrong. Has it been confirmed to be the 90-minute R-Rated cut?

Hi,

As near as I can tell, The dvd is in fact the unrated version. I dont remember anything that was on the vhs that was missing from the dvd. The dvd is just mis-labeled as r-rated. --Edward.

I think the attack on the hooker may be longer in the unrated version.I may be mistaken, but i think both the r-rated and unrated versions are available on tape.
