yet more reason that R2 needs to organise itself against the threat of R1 or R4. You really wonder why people are importing their DVDs from overseas

This has always been rumoured to be a SE.

In US released by Columbia who are now doing rental windows by stealth in issuing a plain disk and then SE 6 months or so later (as with Black Hawk Down, 6th Day, Panic Room etc)

In UK it is distributed by Warner but on behalf of a small company called Helkion ? who also did The Gift and a few others. They are annoyed with Warner getting rid of rental windows in the UK for both DVD (have never had one) and now VHS. What is annoying the rental trade is the attempt by Warner to charge rental shops a premium rather than just rent the retail version, strategy which was declared illegal in Australia, they have started doing this with Training Day.

However arguments now mean a rental window for Mothman on DVD in UK (extras are ready to go as already rated by BBFC), so now may not be released until US SE which was rumoured by Christmas, so costing Helkion sales if US better, otherwise would have just bought UK version.
