Well obviously no Paxton. Helen Hunt? Do we need a sequel? Maybe it will force a 4K US release.
They had multiple twisters in the first film. Not sure how the same thing would make a sequel different.
Maybe it's a dance musical, not a sequel.

“Sources said that the hope is to bring Helen Hunt back, with a drama that focuses in the daughter she had with the character played by the late Bill Paxton. She has caught the storm chasing bug her parents had.”
Sequel to depict what's going on in real life where the less concrete developed state is exposed to natural destructive force is... probably a must to remind people and it's state government not to underestimate what kind of scenarios could happened when such forces strikes. Of course depending on strength, some parts could often be regarded by audiences that it looked, exaggerating.Well obviously no Paxton. Helen Hunt? Do we need a sequel?...

Most audiences would see it as entertainment anyway...
So, the sequel may not need to be a continual development of characters, since 2 of 'em had passed away. However, should there be... probably the project team going or should be cooking up a character who should be 18yrs old, a legitimately off-spring of Bill. That could be either "Jo's" junior or the junior of "Melissa Reeves", where the former had got back together with "Bill" after their adventure getting through the Twisters attack, and the latter whom had been "humped" with "Bill"...
Ever since TWISTER, the one and only flick that deals with Stormy side of natural force without human manipulation, goes to INTO THE STORM. Which in contrast to TWISTER, a little less popular... without the "stellar" casts...
It was a teenage wedding and the old folks wished them well. You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle....Maybe it's a dance musical, not a sequel.
Don't forget that there is also no Phillip Seymour Hoffman who was a big part of the first film.
