Need your Help in selecting Speakers!!

I am trying to pick a set of speakers that i can use in my living room. I would love to get surround sound but I don't think the way my living room is set up, I don't think I can get a good quality sound and true surround out of it.

I have a small living room and the TV is in the corner of the room and my seating area is kind of on an angle from the tv (the seating is not directly in front of the tv).

So with that, I am looking for a center channel speaker and two front Left and Right speakers. Also a Sub for behind the TV.

I have looked at the Bose 3-2-1, but I have read a lot of bad reviews on Circuit City and Good Guys Website. I haven't searched for them on this forum yet.

Any ways any help or suggestions people have would be greatly appreciated.

O'Yeah, if you can suggest a good receiver also which I will have to purchase as well.

Thanks again,

Chuck..

Maybe just go with a nice stereo receiver?

HK makes a couple of models with a sub out and good power - the 3370 and 3470. Search them up on Ebay - often they sell for less than $150 - $175. Also look at harmanaudio.com for refurbs.

Speakers are everywhere - Hard to narrow them down. A decent pair of bookshelves should suffice, like the SuperZero, Paradigm's offerings, Axiom, JBL, too many to list really.
