Trying to connect PC DVD to AV receiver (1 Viewer)

I'm having some trouble connecting my pc play dvds to my av receive, I've tried the analgoue outs from the sound card to the external INs on my amp but the quality was not good so I tried the digital out from my sound card but it only outputs in stereo from the digital link.

Will this card pass 5.1 signals to my receiver? http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_u...on51-main.html

My current card is a Creative sound blaster audigy, receiver is a denon 1803

what sorts of materials are you trying to play, are this dolby digital?DTS 5.1 or 2 cahnnels only? and what software do you use to play this materials?
