    I think it means that Taiwan is the place where the disc was made.

    US DVD facilities are stretched to maximum capacity
    And it gives the bootleggers easy access so they can bring their competing product to market on street date [​IMG]

    on quite a few discs recently, the center has been stamped with such.

    I don't understand why they would do all this trans-shipping.
    is it still cost-effective?

    The same reason why tons of things are made in Taiwan. Dirt cheap labor
