Does anyone know of any PC software, free or low-cost preferably, that I can use to transfer WAV and FLAC music files to DVD, preferably in the 96/24 format? I have started to transfer LPs to WAV files, and have also bought some HD downloads that I would like to be able to play on my DVD player. Any suggestions would be welcome. - Mark

Well, here's my two cents. Any DVD authoring software should do it, but when I needed it (for the hi-rez Peter Gabriel download that came with Scratch My Back), I couldn't find any (free, that is...), and ended up asking a friend who happened to have such software to make me a DVD of the hi-rez FLAC files I gave him. Maybe I just didn't search hard enough... Depending on which DVD player you have, it might just me able to read and play the files from a regular CD- or DVD-ROM, ie i data disc.

Most DVD authoring software programs will convert the audio to 48kHz, since that is part of the DVD-Video spec.

If you are looking to create DVD-Audio discs for a DVD-Audio compatible player, the only software I'm aware of is discWelder from Minnetonka, which starts at $99.00.
