I found this today at Dark Horizons:

Amazon indicates a special 2-disc edition of Soderbergh's film has just come out in France with 14min making of, 26mins of deleted scenes, an interview with Steven Soderbergh and best of all an audio commentary by him - the last three bits were sadly lacking from the 2001 disc release in other areas of the world.

Let's hope this adds to the possibility of a R1 SE.

if i remember right this has been planned for a while. as much of a special edition would be nice, don't think they would release another disc so soon for region 1.

I don't think this DVD has an audio commentary - often French DVDs refer to interviews as commentaries or the interviews are playerd over selected scenes as if they were commentaries. The DVD looks the same as the R2 UK DVD except it has DTS, necessitating a second DVD.
