Tom Waits Big Time DVD? LD? (1 Viewer)

Was this ever released on laserdisc? Does anyone know if there are plans for an dvd release? I have it on video but I've watched it a thousand times and the video quality is terrible. I wonder what he's working on an new album.

My VHS is about ready to disintegrate, too. I have not seen it on laser or DVD, but would buy it in a heartbeat if someone would put it out.

'Big Time' may be released on DVD. (18 April 2001)
'Big Time', out of print for some time, may be re-released. There are plans to release the film on DVD. No release date has been set. More when more is available.

I have never seen Big Time as I only became aware of Tom's music about 3 years ago. I am eagerly awaiting this DVD. However, the fact that this new snipit is close to a year old, doesn't make me feel really positive.

I noticed that the album "Alice" will be released on May 7th. Is this the same title ( Alice The Original Demos) that has been on bootleg for quite some time? I noticed that the songs titles on the upcoming release don't match the bootleg.

From what I've heard, Alice is the same as the bootleg version -- though it may have been re-recorded.
There are actually two discs coming out on May 7th -- "Alice" and "Blood Money". Check out www.anti.com for the latest info on both discs.
I've been waiting for BIG TIME forever (at least it feels that long)...
