With Tobe's passing today, which of his films remain without releases? Also what is your favorite film by him as well.
I remember the full page ad Spielberg took out in Variety I believe praising Hoopers direction of Poltergeist deflecting claims that he (Spielberg) actually directed it.Steven Spellberg, just sayin'. Might want to fix the thread title.
It's a wild movie that is not for everyone. It looks like a porno movie of the era, the characters and performances are off the wall & the whole thing is pretty sleazy and while those might sound negative, I mean them all as positives.I've not seen Eaten Alive, though many put it on their list of favorites.
I think you have to contact a moderator.Does anyone know how I can fix the thread title? I don't want to have to delete this and start again just because of my typo.

It's a shame he was never really able to escape from the shadow of TCM and make another truly great classic. It was simply a case of lightning in a bottle.
Good question. I guess you could private message one of the mods. How do I do that?
The current Blu-ray of Poltergeist is OK, but in dire need of a re-release with more bonus features. Warner missed a great opportunity the first time around...
