For those of you who have or are thinking of ordering TWC's hi-def cable box, it appears that a number of channels were finally restored within the last day or so. ABC, Fox and UPN 9 all appear to be broadcasting a hi-def signal. I only discovered this late last night, so I haven't yet seen any HD programming on any of them yet. I just hope it's not a fluke.

With NBC, CBS, HBO and Showtime, that makes 7 HD channels on TWC/NYC, plus a PBS signal that's not part of the regular PBS programming.

Actually, last night on HD-PBS (713), you could see the ceremony from Battery Park city in HD. George Bush in HD. I don't know if this means a change from the loop that's been running on this station.
