The new 4K transfer is available (in actual 4K) in digital format from iTunes and Vudu (and probably others). The iTunes one is in Dolby Vision (not sure about Vudu) and the purchase price is $14.99.

I am a shiny silver disc collector at heart and I'd absolutely purchase a 4K Blu-ray version of this film. But I just couldn't justify spending $20 for a standard Blu-ray when the 4K digital is available for even less and the 4K digital looks absolutely gorgeous. The HDR is subtle but beneficial.

Come on, Criterion... release 4K restorations on 4K Blu-ray in addition to standard Blu-ray.

I'm happy with my 4K/Dolby Vision digital stream on iTunes as I already own it twice on Blu-ray. No way, it's going to be a third time.

It's amazing how many times this movie has been reissued on DVD and BD over the last 10 years. But it's nice to see something definitive from Criterion.

For all of the different packaging that was used on previous disc releases, I think there was only ever one BD version from MGM/Fox, but they sure did repackage it a ton.

It is nice to have something truly new, instead of just a new cover.
