I recently bought and connected Sony's new upscaling dvd player to my SP 4805 and was blown away by the image quality, when I informed a friend of mine about my enthusiasm he asked me a legitimate question and I didn't know what to tell him...can he connect an upscaling player to his X1A?

I know that the 4805 is listed as having DVI capability, but the type of input (M1) that is on the 4805 in identical to the computer input on the X1 (a hard lesson I learned this week by shelling out 50 smackers for the M1 adapter), so, would this work for him? In theory at least, it should, but the X1A is not listed as having DVI capability.

Thanks for the help. :emoji_thumbsup:

My guess is no. The move to the M1 connector may be just to make it consistent with the rest of its products, but still just analog input.
