Sam Raimi's THE GIFT has one of the best subtle mixes I've heard on DVD.

I agree. Another disc with great sound, both subtle and powerful, is Elizabeth.

Mark, I would hardly call Requiem For A Dream or Stir Of Echoes "subtle" in any way (especially Requiem!). Both have very aggressive mixes with a lot of surround usage. I will agree that both are excellent though.

Dwayne, Elizabeth is one I definitely should have mentioned. That is one of the better subtle mixes on DVD.
