Still no box set for HD disc.
Still no TV show on HD disc.
Still no cartoon/animation on HD disc.*
Still no DTS-HD soundtrack on HD disc

Has there been a digital camera sourced HD disc?
Has there been a only HD special features HD disc?

Hopefully the holiday season will bring us all the formats HD disc can cover!

*Does the cartoon on TAoRH count? ;-)

Actually, the following "3D" animated features are available (or will soon be available) on HD:

The Corpse Bride - HD-DVD and Blu-ray (Claymation)
Ice Age 2 - Blu-ray
The Polar Express - HD-DVD
Dinosaur - Blu-ray

*** Edit ***
Assuming that Disney follows the same release pattern with Blu-ray that they applied to DVD, then we could expect to see Pinocchio on Blu-ray by October of 2007.

The Ultimate Missions Collection (Mission Impossible, MI-2, & MI-3) will be released Oct. 30. I've already pre-ordered this back in early September!

Actually, Disney has said to foreign distributors that the 2008 Platinums will be Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio. And if they don't release them in Blu-Ray (assuming the best case scenario for the format) they should have their heads examined.

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that some WB show was released in HD-DVD also.

Maybe I'm losing my head.

I'll look into it...

I believe the fifth season of Smallville is set to be released on HD-DVD at some point. I saw a magazine ad for it recently, although no release date was given (it's "coming soon," or something to that extent).

Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow - HD-DVD

There does not seem to be any now other than Sky Captain on HD-DVD. That looks to be changing as of Nov 14th and we will have a number of DTS-HD titles available. We will just have no way of listening to these DTS-HD tracks.

I however will be buying a number of these DTS-HD titles next month.

Sky Captain on HD DVD does not contain DTS-HD MA. It was a misprint on the back cover. The only HD DVDs I know of that will carry DTS-HD MA will be the Studio Canal releases in Europe.

The 'Sky Captain' dts track, iirc, was just the dts-hd. As in, 1500kbps dts. Same as the dts before it went low-bitrate. Not the "new" dts.

MI:3; First multi (2) disc set.
In BOTH formats, no less!

1st TV show, should not be far behind. ;-)

Smallville is scheduled for 11-18 and Sopranos sometime this month on HD-DVD. Nothing so far for TV shows on Blu-ray disc.
