SYNOPSIS
From visionary filmmaker Jim Henson comes the unforgettable fantasy favorite LABYRINTH, now celebrating its 35th anniversary. A 16-year-old girl (Academy Award® winner Jennifer Connelly, Best Supporting Actress, A Beautiful Mind, 2001) is given 13 hours to solve a dangerous and wonderful labyrinth and rescue her baby brother when her wish for him to be taken away is granted by the Goblin King, played by the iconic David Bowie.

Any idea if this is the same as the 30th anniversary UHD release from 2016? I saw Amazon had it back in stock and ordered a copy.

Now with added Dolby Vision and a couple of new bonus features. The previous UHD from 2016 is fine.

I never bought the 2016 release so I’m excited about this one.

If you don't already own it, the 35th Anniversary is definitely the one to get, but one small caveat...

It seems the "original theatrical 2-channel Surround audio" isn't actually that. It's a fold-down of the previous 5.1 remix. Fortunately, that remix wasn't super revisionist, so it's not too annoying, but there are a handful of noticeable differences here and there.
