Sony STR-DA5ES: 2 CH Analog Direct possible w/toslink connection? (1 Viewer)

I have my dvd player hooked via a toslink cable. For now I am going to use it as a cd player as well. I would like to know what I would need to do on 5ES to get it to play the cd w/out any digital processing. Thanks!

Hook up via Analog as well and toggle the Analog/Digital selector. Using the Toslink or Coax means you are in the digital realm of the receiver. You could listen with no surround mode but that is not the same as Analog.

I have taken to using the 6 channel input on my H/K for 2 channel/multi-channel play. No fuss.
