Sony KDF-E50A10 and Switching Channels from HD to Regular TV (1 Viewer)

Whenever I switch channels from a HD channel to a regular tv channel (or vice versa), the screen goes completely blurry and I can't see anything-- just a bunch of blurry color lines. I have to turn the tv off and immediately back on and it works again. When switching from HD to HD channels, it works fine. It's only when switching from HD to regular (or vice versa). What is the problem or what can I do?

What kind of set top box are you using for HD and how are you connecting it?

I've got a WE655, the Wegas just prior to yours.

My TV also gets all scrambled when I switch from say a 480i to a 720p or 1080i channel. Only for a second though until the deinterlacers and scaling electronics gets resynced.

Have you tried running the cable directly to the back of your TV to see if it still does this. You should be able to get at least a couple of local HD stations to experiment with.

More information about how exactly you have everything set up would help a lot.
