Some other threads have pointed out the fact that Bose has sued JBL - which led to the redesign of the speaker line. This, of course, led to clearance sales on the current line of speakers.

So, performance wise, there is no difference in the MFG's Spec's. The result of the Bose suit required JBL to redesign the FreeFlow™ port and while they were at it, they changed some of the packaging cosmetics & color in the Mark II, basically making it easier to visually see the difference between the Mark II vs. the original "N" & "S" Series.
I personally like the looks of the originals. :)

O.K., guys, I'm a little behind in this news ... is there anywhere you recommend to get the NSP-1's at a price as listed above(thats reputable)? I tried Amazon day before yesterday (Wed.) because of another thread that mentioned them for $228. plus tax, but now they're not available! :frowning:
