I have a Samsung HCM-4215W and a Toshiba DVD player (the Nuon one) with Zoom. How come when I zoom out on a widescreen (2:35:1) DVD picture, I see more info (like 1 inch) lost on each side? Shouldn't the pic fill the screen with everything available on the DVD? Does this happen as well on larger screen sizes? Will you only see the "full" widescreen pic of a 2:35:1 with a front projector?
Thanks for any help!

Greetings

The aspect ratio of your display is 1.78:1 ... it is not 2.35:1.

Wider films cannot fit into the 1.78 space without geometric distortion and no bars. (Unless one can change the laws of physics. ;) )

Regards
