Looking at Samsung DLP. The HL-S 6187 and HL-S 6167. Both are 1080P resolution but only the 87 has 1080P inputs. How do you get 1080P out of the 67? How important is the difference?

The 6167 is 720p and not 1080p. The only other 61" HLS 1080p model is the 6188W.

If you're sitting more than 7.5' away, there is no perceptual difference. The only reason to get the 1080p model is that there may be some artifacting from the conversion of 1080i material to 720p.

Samsung claims that the 67 is a 1080P resolution. It has the 1080P light engine. The inputs seem to be the concern. The component inputs are rated up to 1080I. It has 2 HDMI inputs but nothing about 1080P format. Is this just a selling thing? Or is there a way to get it?

I stand corrected -- the 6167 is 1080p. It seems it's basically the same set as the 6187 with the same inputs but in an older case and made for Sam's Club.
