Rounded cables and blocked pins (1 Viewer)

Just got a few of those fancy, expensive, round cables but there's a small problem. My drives all have the absent pin to accommodate the blocked hole on the cables but of course my motherboards IDE connecters do not, so I can't use them.

Do most motherboards have an absent pin on the IDE connectors? I'm using an Abit.

I just got some of those cables today and luckily for me my mobo had those pins missing. Mine is an ASUS A7V266. I guess it depends on how old the mobo is. I got mine back in Sept. 2001
