Ridley Scott's THE LEGEND in Japan (1 Viewer)

Fox has released the 1985 Ridley Scott film THE LEGEND on DVD in Japan. It is 16x9 enhanced and apparently has Dolby Surround. I purchased one at lunch today and have not checked out quality yet. It is single layer so expeced to be void of special features.

I have picked-up the UK release and it also is 16x9 and Dolby pro....

This is the 89 minute Euro cut with the Goldsmith score.

Looks like this version will NOT be included in the Region 1 SE, so it makes it somewhat a collector's edition.

The package gives a run time of 94 minutes. It is bare bones with only one trailer as extras. The transfer, upon first check, seems excellent with deep vibrant colors. The photography is magical. The movie starts without Universal studio logo with opening credits (release is by Fox). Universal, however, is credited in the small print and on back of package. It appears that Fox must have the rights in Japan. The Japanese release has the Goldsmith score.
