Returning scratched discs to DDD

    I ordered Farscape: Season 1 from DeepDiscountDVD and 4 of the 11 discs were off their hubs and scratched. The DeepDiscountDVD policy is that I should return the set and they will send me a new one in return. I'm hesitant to do this because the odds of receiving a set with all 11 discs in good condition seem much worse than the odds of receiving a set with the 4 discs I need in good condition, and then sending the rest back to DDD. Does anyone know if I can make the return work the way I want it to, or do I need to follow their official policy and hope for the best?

    Try e-mailing them or calling them with your concerns. Chances are, though, that they'll want you to return the entire set. In the past, when I've had to return something, they mailed me a pre-paid return mailer, so it didn't cost me anything. Their customer service is good, so you might be able to work out a special arrangement.

    DDD will do another charge against your card then do a charge back when the defective set is returned. Just mix and match from both sets.
