    Although I think this forum is one of the better, more well thought out and technologically sophisticated sites, is there a way to set it up so we can respond to a particular post, not just add to a thread?

    Use your private messaging system. Why would you not want to reply to the thread in general?

    True enough. However, I may want to reply to someone who has posted a comment within a thread I have started, not a general looking reply to my own original thread. Using a personal private email may be overkill in most situations. I guess I'm thinking about how AR works in that regard (not that I would want this to turn into AR!)

    Using the "Quote" feature has always worked for me. You are then able to respond to a specific portion of a thread.
