Release of Z postponed? (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if the release of the moive Z has been postponed. I order from DeepDiscountDVD, but have not received the order yet. DDD lists 6/25 as the release date. At DVD Empire they list 7/9 as the release date. If this July date is correct that would explain why I haven't received my order from DDD. Can anyone confirm the release date for this movie?

It officially shipped last week, but many places don't seem to be stocking it until this week. Seems to happen rather often; Frank Herbert's Dune comes to mind.

DDD site says 7/2

This must be the case because I just checked DDD for the order status and it showed that the movie was mailed today. I have been anxious to receive this movie since I saw it available for pre-order in early May. I hope I get this in time to watch this weekend. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in political thrillers.

I received my copy yesterday. Haven't seen it yet, but it is anamorphic with director commentary.

I had also been waiting a long time for Z. There were many postponements, but I am sure the wait will be worth it.

Z is a good example of quality content on DVD. I feel the studios are concentrating too much on trash. The recent releases that have bombed in theatres and they are trying to make their money back on the home DVD market. Well, I can hardly blame them. If they loose too much money, they won't have any left to release the classics.
