ok i search on here cause i am embarrassed to ask it cause i know i know the answer but could someone please explain to me what a learning remote is. Is it just a programmable remote?

just dont tease me too much i have always been a 5-6 remote guy and until now(kids gettin older) i didnt worry bout remotes.

A learning remote can 'learn' the IR codes (keypresses) of another remote.

You would put the learning remote into 'learn mode' for the desired button and hold the other remote a couple of inches away and press the button you wish to learn from.
