Questions about Avia Basic Adjustments (1 Viewer)

When adjusting the contrast they say that you should adjust the contrast until you notice "blooming". I adjust the contrast all the way up and I still don't notice any blooming. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm also a little confused as how to adjust sharpness. None of the things that are shown in their explanation actually happen on my TV.

My TV is a Mits 65819. Does anyone have recommendations as to how to adjust the TV?

Guy Kuo of Avia discusses blooming inthe first post, among others. It seems it isnt always in your face.
