Q for Paradigm Guys - Studio 40 V1 or more Modern Reference 5/7? (1 Viewer)

Hey all!

I am looking to get a modest but formidable audio setup for my small apartment.

I am looking to pair a PS Audio Sprout integrated amp (can't post link but easily searchable online )

with a set of medium size Paradigm speakers.

I am looking to do something about the size of the Studio 40 or the Monitor5/7.

I found these Studio 40 V1s locally - I can't post the link bc of forum rules but if you go to craigslist in LA and search Paradigm you'll find them titled "Paradigm Speakers 174432/174433"

They're at a pawn shop . I called and the guy is cool and said he would probably drop the price even more. My guess is I could get them 15-20% lower than listed. Is that worth it? I have read reviews saying those were great speakers and then others saying the ones that came better are way better. I also see Monitor 5s and 7s coming in at around that price.

What do you guys think? Thanks in advance.

I'm the last to ask...cause I use 7 different brands...encompassing 3 disparate styles of design.

But...I'd buy Studio, any series...over any series Monitor.
