Receiver: Pioneer VSX-1020-K Sub-woofer: Sony SA-W2500 Speakers: Sony HTIB speakers OBJECTIVE: Upgrade speakers for under $200 OPTION 1: Polk Audio RM75 ($179) and keep Sony SA-W2500 OPTION 2: Yamaha NS-SP1800BL ($133) OPTION 3: Polk Audio RM6750 ($230) (Go over budget because its REALLY worth the extra $)

I'd go with the RM75 and keep the Sony sub. Polk subs in that price range aren't very good. The Yamaha sub would be O.K. for a small bedroom, that's about it.

Based on all of the reviews I read, I decided to spend the extra money and get the RM6750. I was able to get it locally for a good price (support my local economy and easy return if not satisfied). We are very pleased with the sound. A big improvement over the Sony HTIB.
