Hi,

I am looking for input on the Panasonic TUHDS20

HDTV Digital Receiver. Does anyone out there have it? Pluses or minuses?

I am just looking to get a HDTV set, possibly a projector, in the near future and I am considering this receiver. I believe it receives HDTV signals via Directv and off the air, is this correct?

How does it compare to other HDTV receivers out there such as the RCA one?

I only know what I've read. It is among the lowest cost STBs available now, selling for $450-$500. The pluses are that it has a good picture, outputs 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i and has some good options for selecting those scanning rates for different inputs. The bad news is that the guide is very slow and there is no signal meter.
It does receive both DirecTV and OTA signals.
