I've read through most of the threads concerning "Gettysburg", but I didn't find specific references to the "R0", 2-disc edition that's common on eBay. Some sellers claim that it's an official release, not a bootleg, and some claim that transfer quality is superior to the OOP R1 version. I have serious doubts. Anybody familiar with this edition, as opposed to the R1 single disc edition?

The only other issue that I know of is the R4 double-sided NTSC disc.

Bootleg! Superior to the R1? It's at best a direct disc rip

    If it's not DVD-18 for Gettysburg, it's a boot

However Superman does come legit as 2 DVD-9s in Japan, but any packaging that trumpets DVD-9 is a boot

Follow the golden rule: If it's R0 and it's a title originated at a major US studio, it's a bootleg
